Jonah Lomu
The youngest All Black of all time on his debut, Lomu – all 6’4″ and 19 stone of him – burst onto the scene in the 1995 World Cup when he scored four tries against England in the semi-final, usually scored after running through or over the defenders. Although he has since battled with serious illness, he remains one of rugby’s greatest crowd pleasers and a fearsome opponent. By the beginning of 2003, he had scored 37 tries in 63 Tests, sixth in the all-time list.
Lomu passed away in 2015.
